The mountains are calling and I must go

As being from the North of Pakistan, most of my life is spent in between mountains that is why I love them, mountain boy/ mountain lover/ mountain climber.    For the last few years, I am temporarily living in Punjab for education purposes but I always left my heart in the mountains.                                             Reasons why I love mountains that much

The Mountains are good for the soul                                                                                                                                                  As being surrounded by mountains with lovely, lush green forests and foothills, the tantalizing teal lakes hidden away like a secret prize waiting to be found, and those stunning sky-high jagged peaks, it was love at first sight. But more than that, hiking in the mountains became an immediate passion because of the way it made me feel. I was able to just be the real me and connect with the version of myself that felt the most authentic and true

Being surrounded by the mountains has a powerful effect on something deeper. It’s as if being amidst something greater than ourselves, changes our perspective and insight on life and the things that really matter

They have healing powers                                                                                                                             This may because of fresh air or the exercise or the liters of water I drink when I’m hiking, but I swear to you that whenever I visit the mountains I feel enormously better. It’s as if there is an energy source in those summits that you can tap into and feed off of. Getting out there literally fuels you and rebalances you; you will notably feel more calm and happy, and less irritable or anxious. There was never a time that I left the mountains without feeling refreshed, happy, and inspired – ready to take on anything that came my way.

The place is full of History

From the 3rd century to the 11th century, Gilgit was a Buddhist center. Nearby, about 400 meters (1,300 ft) upstream, a Buddhist monastery, and three stupas containing Sanskrit manuscripts were excavated in 1931. By the 11th century, Gilgit had grown into the autonomous kingdom of Dardistan before accepting Islam.                                                                                                                                       But there are a lot of superstitious beliefs regarding this most popular is that there was a banshee at that place which used to kill people and a well known Derwaish captured this banshee in between mountains.

Home of many living beings

Many types of birds and plants living in mountains make them more beautiful and attractive

These living beings live a happy and natural life away from man which make their life difficult to spend.
So where ever I live l left a piece of heart in the mountains.
